That Snowy Day in New Forest

We woke up to snow! Yeyyy!! Forget World Book Day - time to go sledding! We don't get snow around here in Southampton, but it did come this winter. Twice! Believe me, to us Sotonians, this is already a treat! The sight of it filled the air with excitement, as we seized the opportunity to go sledding with our furry friend and for walks.

On top of my when-it-snows list is to see the snowy wonders in the New Forest. It has been our second home since my hubby and I migrated to England. While we lived in the city, we would head down there to enjoy a weekend of fresh air. We went some weeknights too because the hubby is into star photography. You don't want to go there at night though as it is really, really dark but we go anyway! After lots of driving back and forth and countless beautiful walks and trails, we decided to pack our bags and move. Years later, we had our little one who turned out to be a nature freak as well! Sadly, we had to leave because both our jobs are in the city and having no family around to help us with our newborn, we find that living close to our jobs will make our life easier. It doesn't matter where we'd end up living, the New Forest will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Here is the snow winter scene of the New Forest. Nothing like enjoying a crisp winter's walk in the beauty of this National Park.  I will be posting about 'My Best New Forest Walks' soon, so watch out for that!
