Childhood

Don't wish away your childhood.
There will come a day when you will long to be a child again.

As a child I never liked playing with dolls. Nevertheless, I had a happy childhood, being a tomboy and climbing trees (that guava tree), sitting on the porch every afternoon and daydreaming, buying candies from the corner sari-sari store, reading Archie's, believing in fairy tales, collecting stickers, playing hide & seek and fighting with cousins, riding my bike, listening to my mom and grandma tell stories about the family, waiting for my dad to come home from an out-of-town trip with my favourite book, and memorising poems for my uncle. I loved what I had. Good clean fun and great memories.
